Job Summary

eTranzact Platform Ltd, a leading African financial technology company, is seeking an experienced Treasury Manager to oversee treasury operations and support the company's mission of transforming the financial landscape through digital innovation and financial inclusion.

The Treasury Manager will be responsible for cash management, liquidity forecasting, financial risk management, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial planning. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the role also supports business development and operational growth in Uganda while contributing to eTranzact’s Pan-African vision of advancing digital banking and secure payment solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Treasury & Cash Management

Manage daily cash flows, liquidity forecasting, and cash optimization.
Ensure sufficient liquidity to meet operational and investment needs.
Monitor treasury activities and maintain strong cash management practices.

Financial Risk Management

Develop and implement treasury policies and procedures.
Manage financial risks, including foreign exchange, interest rate, and credit risks.
Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Banking & Financial Operations

Manage relationships with banking partners.
Negotiate banking and financial service agreements.
Ensure efficient utilization of treasury management systems and fintech platforms.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

Prepare treasury reports, cash position analyses, and performance reports.
Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations.
Support Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance requirements.

Strategic Planning & Business Support

Support funding requirements, capital allocation, and investment decisions.
Collaborate with finance, operations, and executive teams to achieve business objectives.
Identify opportunities to improve treasury efficiency through fintech innovations, including digital payments and blockchain technologies.

Team Leadership

Mentor and develop junior treasury staff.
Foster a high-performing finance team focused on operational excellence.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Master’s degree or professional certification (CFA, CTP, ACCA, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
Minimum 5–7 years of progressive treasury management experience.
At least 3 years' experience in the fintech or financial services sector.
Proven experience managing treasury operations within digital payments, electronic banking, or related fintech environments.

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong treasury and liquidity management expertise.
Financial modeling and analytical skills.
Knowledge of financial instruments and risk management.
Understanding of Ugandan and international financial regulations.
Proficiency in ERP and Treasury Management Systems (e.g., Kyriba or similar).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
High ethical standards and professional integrity.

Preferred Skills

Experience in foreign exchange management and hedging strategies.
Knowledge of data analytics tools such as Excel, SQL, or Python.
Understanding of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles in fintech.
