About the Conference

Uganda's Premier
Fintech Platform.

The FITSPA Annual Fintech Conference is Uganda's flagship platform for fintech dialogue, partnership-building, and thought leadership. Over eight editions, it has evolved from an industry gathering into a strategic national platform shaping the direction of Uganda's digital financial services ecosystem.

Since 2019, the conference has convened over 5,000 cumulative participants and consistently featured senior representation from the Bank of Uganda, Ministry of Finance, leading commercial banks, mobile money operators, and international organisations including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, World Bank, and UNCDF.

Cited as East Africa's largest fintech convening, each edition addresses the pressing priorities of its time — regulation, financial inclusion, investment, infrastructure, and sustainable growth.

At the 7th conference, the FITSPA Chairperson challenged the industry to think big — asking why Uganda could not build a trillion-dollar fintech ecosystem given the right mix of talent, capital, and ambition. The Ministry of Finance responded with a commitment to work with FITSPA on capacity, coordination, and licensing costs. The 2026 conference is where those commitments become concrete action.
