DFCU Bank is seeking a Senior Officer – Data Approver to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and quality of customer data while maintaining compliance with banking policies, AML/KYC requirements, and regulatory standards. The role is critical in supporting efficient account services and enhancing operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and approve customer information, including account openings, amendments, dormant accounts, and unclaimed balances, within agreed service levels.
Perform due diligence on customer mandates, signature cards, account instructions, and amendments.
Liaise with branches, Compliance, Credit, and other stakeholders to implement corrective actions and compliance recommendations.
Investigate and resolve reconciliation issues relating to unclaimed balances.
Respond to customer queries within agreed turnaround times.
Identify process gaps and implement improvements to strengthen operational efficiency and reduce risk.
Escalate operational risks and incidents in line with the bank's reporting policies.
Monitor and report suspicious transactions in accordance with AML/CFT/KYC regulations.
Train and mentor banking staff on account services, data quality, compliance standards, and operational controls.
Participate in projects aimed at improving data integrity and compliance initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
Minimum 4 years' experience in banking operations.
Strong understanding of banking procedures, AML/KYC regulations, and operational guidelines.
Excellent analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and exercise sound judgment.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
