Standard Chartered Bank is seeking an experienced Senior Credit Manager to lead its credit risk management function. The role is responsible for safeguarding asset quality, strengthening credit governance, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements while driving a strong risk management culture across the bank.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead credit risk management across corporate and commercial banking portfolios.

• Develop, implement, and enhance credit risk policies and frameworks.

• Evaluate, approve, or decline credit applications within delegated authority.

• Monitor portfolio performance, conduct stress testing, and identify emerging credit risks.

• Prepare credit risk reports for senior management, regulators, and risk committees.

• Strengthen internal controls and improve credit risk management processes.

• Collaborate with business, compliance, and regulatory stakeholders to support informed lending decisions.

• Promote a strong risk culture through mentoring and continuous team development.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.

• Postgraduate qualifications or professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, or other credit/risk management certifications are an added advantage.

• Proven experience managing corporate and commercial credit portfolios.

• Strong understanding of banking regulations, credit risk frameworks, and operational risk management.

• Advanced analytical, financial analysis, and portfolio management skills.

• Experience using credit risk analytics tools and preparing executive-level risk reports.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
