Job Description

The Officer, Digital Reconciliations is responsible for reconciling suspense accounts, matching entries across records, and taking necessary actions to resolve unmatched items in the general ledger within defined turnaround times (TATs). The role also contributes to improving, automating, digitising, or eliminating reconciliation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reconcile entries across accounts, including suspense accounts and bank statements, ensuring sound financial control.

• Identify root causes of unmatched items and resolve them within defined timelines, contacting parties as needed.

• Maintain accurate records and substantiation reports, including balances, volumes, values, ages of unmatched items, and commentary on unusual items.

• Measure, monitor, and report service delivery metrics and performance against agreed standards.

• Continuously review and improve policies, procedures, and systems to enhance reconciliation efficiency.

• Ensure adherence to financial hygiene practices and the Bank’s standards.

Qualifications

• First Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field from a recognised institution.

• At least 2 years’ experience in reconciliation or similar roles.
