Job Summary:
Agent Banking Company is seeking a Network Support Engineer to join the Infrastructure & Operations team. The role is responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting and maintenance of network infrastructure and systems, resolving connectivity issues, responding to network incidents and maintaining reliable network services to ensure business continuity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to network issues, connectivity problems and technical service requests.

• Provide first-line and second-line troubleshooting for network, VPN and device issues.

• Use network monitoring and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve problems.

• Document support tickets, incidents and troubleshooting activities.

• Conduct root-cause analysis for recurring network problems.

• Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers or the team lead.

• Monitor network infrastructure and identify performance problems or anomalies.

• Perform routine network maintenance, patches, updates and security configurations.

• Assist with configuration, backup and restoration of network devices.

• Maintain accurate network documentation and configuration records.

• Support network change management, upgrades and patching.

• Conduct physical network inspections and network walks.

• Check cable management, device connectivity and overall network health.

• Assist with implementation and monitoring of network security policies.

• Support vulnerability assessments and penetration-testing activities.

• Monitor network traffic for security threats and suspicious activity.

• Support network security audits and compliance documentation.

• Provide technical support to staff and remote users.

• Assist with user onboarding and VPN access provisioning.

• Explain technical problems and solutions clearly to non-technical users.

• Maintain professional communication and provide updates on resolution timelines.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Networking, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• At least 3 years of relevant network support or network engineering experience.

• CCNA or another advanced networking certification is an added advantage.

• Hands-on knowledge of network monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as:

  • SNMP

  • NetFlow

  • Wireshark

  • Ping

  • Tracert

  • ipconfig

• Strong understanding of:

  • TCP/IP

  • DNS

  • DHCP

  • Switching

  • Routing

• Experience with switches, routers, firewalls and VPN systems.

• Basic Linux and Windows Server administration knowledge.

• Comfortable working with command-line tools.

• Familiarity with Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper or equivalent networking products is advantageous.

• Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service management tools.

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Knowledge of information security and data protection.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
