Position: Information Systems Audit Officer
Reports to: Manager – Information Systems Audit

BRAC Uganda Bank is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Information Systems Audit Officer to support the execution of the annual IT audit plan and provide assurance on risk management across the Bank’s information systems and technology operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct IT audits covering IT governance, infrastructure, networks, databases, cybersecurity operations, vulnerability assessments, digital financial services, IT service activities, project management, IT assets, incident and problem management, and application controls.

• Develop audit tests to address identified IT risks and achieve audit objectives.

• Collect, document, and maintain sufficient audit evidence for all assignments.

• Support the Internal Audit Department in the use of Computer-Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATs), including TeamMate audit software and ACL.

• Conduct investigations into reported fraud and forgery cases as assigned.

• Review and provide input on the adequacy of internal controls for new or upgraded information systems.

• Participate in continuous professional development through training and self-learning.

• Promote and implement safeguarding standards and follow safeguarding reporting procedures where necessary.

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in IT Systems Audit, preferably within the banking sector.

• Professional certification in CISA and/or CISM.

• Technical knowledge of networks, databases, operating systems, general computer applications, and audit software.

• Knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and audit techniques.
