General Manager – Retail Banking and Distribution

Grade/Rank: CB-7
Job Summary
The General Manager – Retail Banking and Distribution will be responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of the bank’s Retail Banking and Distribution strategy in line with organizational goals. The role ensures that strategies drive business growth while maintaining compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
Education and Professional Qualifications
Master’s degree in Business Administration or other relevant field.
Membership in a relevant professional body is an added advantage.
Required Experience
Minimum 10 years’ experience in the banking industry, with at least 5 years at Senior Management level.
Proven experience in branch management and developing systems and procedures within a large organization.
Knowledge of Ugandan banking regulations and statutory requirements.
Required Skills and Competencies
Ability to read and interpret financial reports and analyze trends.
Advanced skills in financial and business management.
Strong process management capabilities.
IT proficiency, including spreadsheet manipulation.
Advanced people management skills for leading large and diverse teams.
Effective communication and networking skills.
Experience driving continuous improvement and innovation.
Strategic thinking and solution generation based on data insights.
