Finance Officer

Job Summary
The Finance Officer is responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, ensuring proper financial reporting, and supporting the overall financial management of the organization. The role focuses on bookkeeping, reconciliations, compliance, and supporting audits and budgeting processes.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Records & Reporting
Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts in line with company and statutory requirements.
Prepare financial statements, management reports, and reconciliations.
Ensure timely recording of all financial transactions.
Cash Flow & Transaction Management
Monitor daily cash flows, banking transactions, and petty cash.
Ensure timely recording and reconciliation of loan disbursements and repayments.
Manage payables and receivables processes.
Budgeting & Financial Planning
Assist in preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Support periodic financial performance reviews.
Compliance & Audit Support
Ensure compliance with URA, NSSF, and other statutory requirements.
Support internal and external audit processes.
Safeguard financial data integrity and confidentiality.
Administrative Support
Provide general administrative support to the finance function.
Perform any other assigned duties.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in the financial sector.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong accounting and bookkeeping skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
Strong communication skills.
High level of integrity and attention to detail.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
