Role Summary:
Reporting to the Head of Data & Insights, the Data Engineer will be responsible for integrating data from multiple sources, developing data pipelines, managing ETL/ELT processes, improving data quality, and supporting enterprise-wide data analytics and governance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain data pipelines to ingest data from multiple sources into the data warehouse.
Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes to ensure efficient data orchestration.
Design datasets that meet business intelligence and analytics requirements.
Prepare data for predictive and prescriptive analytics.
Research and implement data management best practices, including Master Data Management (MDM).
Integrate and transform raw data from diverse sources.
Improve data quality, consistency, and reliability.
Identify opportunities for data acquisition and enhancement.
Develop analytical tools and programs to support data exploration.
Collaborate with data scientists and analytics teams on data-driven projects.
Support the Data Protection Officer in implementing personal data protection initiatives and staff training.
Develop mechanisms to detect, monitor, and report data breaches and recommend mitigation measures.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or another quantitative or IT-related field.
Professional certification in Data Science, Big Data, or Data Analytics.
At least 2 years' experience working with multiple data sources in an IT, finance, or similarly data-intensive environment.
