Role Summary:
Ensibuuko is seeking two Credit Officers to support credit assessment, loan monitoring, and portfolio management for partner Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs). The role focuses on promoting responsible lending, maintaining portfolio quality, and supporting community-based credit operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess newly onboarded VSLAs for credit readiness and provide recommendations.
Coordinate credit assessments, loan applications, approvals, and disbursements.
Monitor loan utilization, repayments, and portfolio performance.
Follow up on overdue repayments and implement recovery plans.
Maintain accurate loan and repayment records.
Supervise and mentor Digital Community Executives (DCEs) supporting credit operations.
Coordinate with internal teams and lending partners throughout the credit lifecycle.
Prepare weekly and monthly credit performance reports.
Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and partner requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
2–3 years' experience in microfinance, VSLA lending, or group credit.
Strong understanding of VSLA methodologies and group lending principles.
Experience working with field agents or community-based credit models.
Familiarity with digital loan management systems.
Key Skills:

Portfolio monitoring and collections.
Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills.
Data-driven decision-making.
High integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and email.
