Position Overview

We are looking for a highly creative, multi-skilled Creative Content & Design Specialist to join Fido’s Marketing Team in Uganda. This role is ideal for someone who is not only an excellent graphic designer but also knows how to create engaging social media content, shoot and edit videos, and work across modern design and creative tools.

You will play a key role in producing visually compelling digital content, managing social media creatives, and supporting campaigns with design, photography, and videography. Your work will directly shape Fido’s presence across Uganda and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Branding

• Create visually stunning graphics, illustrations, and layouts for social media, websites, emails, print collateral, and in-app visuals.

• Maintain and evolve Fido’s brand identity and design guidelines to ensure consistency across all communication touchpoints.

• Translate marketing objectives into on-brand visual concepts and high-quality designs.

Content Creation

• Plan, shoot, and edit short-form and long-form videos for campaigns, social media, events, and product storytelling.

• Produce high-quality photography and video content for digital platforms.

• Assist in creating multimedia assets including animations, motion graphics, and simple 2D visuals.

Social Media Support

• Develop creative social media assets optimized for platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and X (Twitter).

• Collaborate with the Marketing Team to conceptualize and execute content ideas that resonate with Fido’s audience in Uganda.

• Stay updated on social media trends and incorporate fresh creative ideas into content.

Collaboration & Project Execution

• Work closely with copywriters, content creators, and campaign managers to bring concepts to life.

• Manage multiple creative projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality output.

• Provide creative direction and feedback to external agencies, freelancers, and production partners when necessary.

Tools & Technology

• Use industry-standard design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects).

• Utilize Figma and other collaborative design tools to develop and present design concepts.

• Stay informed on new design technologies, editing tools, AI design platforms, and creative innovations.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Graphic Design, Multimedia, Visual Arts, Digital Marketing, or a related field.

• Proven experience in graphic design and content creation, preferably in a marketing, digital media, or advertising environment.

• Strong portfolio showcasing design, social media graphics, and video work (both shooting and editing).

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects).

• Experience using Figma and other modern design tools.

• Ability to shoot and edit videos using professional cameras or high-end mobile devices.

• Excellent understanding of design principles, layout, typography, and color theory.

• Strong creativity and ability to turn ideas into compelling visuals.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight timelines.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred (Nice to Have)

• Experience in motion graphics and simple animations.

• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for email templates.

• Understanding of social media trends and content performance optimization.

• Experience working in fintech or fast-growth digital organizations.
