Job Summary: Salaam Bank Limited is seeking a strategic and experienced Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to provide leadership and oversight of the Bank’s information security and cybersecurity function. The role is responsible for protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the Bank’s information assets, systems, infrastructure, customer information and digital services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, assess, monitor and manage information-security and cybersecurity risks.

• Develop and oversee the Bank’s information-security strategy and controls.

• Ensure regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing are conducted.

• Oversee security assessments, reviews and risk evaluations.

• Supervise vulnerability-management activities.

• Provide oversight of endpoint security and network security.

• Oversee identity and access-management controls.

• Support the protection of customer and organisational data.

• Monitor and strengthen information-security processes and procedures.

• Oversee the Bank’s Security Operations Centre (SOC), whether internally managed or outsourced.

• Ensure emerging cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities are identified and addressed.

• Provide strategic guidance on cybersecurity risk management.

• Support the protection of banking systems, digital services and information infrastructure.

• Promote strong information-security awareness and compliance across the Bank.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in:

  • Computer Science

  • Information Technology

  • Cybersecurity

  • Information Systems

  • A related field

• At least 5 years of experience in a senior management or leadership position within information security or cybersecurity.

• Strong understanding of information-security and cybersecurity risks.

• Proactive approach to emerging threats and vulnerabilities.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong leadership, strategic-thinking and risk-management skills.
