eTranzact Platform Limited, a leading African fintech company, is looking for a Business Development Officer – Digital & Micro Loans to drive the growth of its digital lending portfolio. The successful candidate will identify new business opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and promote payroll-linked loans, financial wellness products, and digital lending solutions while supporting financial inclusion across Uganda.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities within the digital and micro-lending market.

• Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, SMEs, financial institutions, and Primary Mortgage Lenders (PMLs).

• Develop and execute sales strategies to grow payroll-linked loans, financial wellness products (FWP), and digital lending solutions.

• Conduct market research and analyze industry trends to inform business development strategies.

• Collaborate with internal teams to customize lending products that meet client needs.

• Prepare business proposals, negotiate partnerships, and close strategic deals.

• Oversee client onboarding and ensure compliance with Bank of Uganda KYC and regulatory requirements.

• Monitor business performance and provide regular reports to senior management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.

• Membership in a relevant professional body or equivalent certification is an added advantage.

• Minimum 5 years' experience in business development, sales, or relationship management within the financial services sector.

• Proven experience in digital lending, microfinance, or financial services.

• Strong understanding of digital lending products, KYC/AML requirements, and Uganda's financial regulatory environment.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, relationship management, and analytical skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in fintech or digital financial services within Uganda or East Africa.

• Knowledge of Bank of Uganda regulations and KYC/AML compliance frameworks.

• Experience in product development or customization of lending solutions.

• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
