Housing Finance Bank is seeking an experienced Branch Operations Manager to oversee branch operations, ensure compliance with banking regulations, enhance customer service, and manage operational risk. The successful candidate will coordinate branch processes while supporting business growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and implement branch operational processes in line with bank policies and regulatory requirements.

• Process customer instructions while maintaining high customer service standards.

• Develop and implement strategies to minimize fraud, forgeries, and operational risks.

• Monitor non-performing loans and ensure compliance with credit policies.

• Authorize cash transactions, back-office activities, and customer instructions within approved limits.

• Manage safe custody of branch keys and official stamps.

• Prepare branch performance reports for senior management.

• Ensure compliance with KYC procedures and authorize transactions before posting.

• Supervise, coach, and evaluate branch staff performance and development.

• Review and recommend retail banking loans and overdraft facilities.

• Reconcile suspense accounts and oversee Bank of Uganda clearing and settlement processes.

• Monitor branch costs, leave liabilities, and the cost-to-income ratio.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Marketing, Statistics, or a related field.

• At least 4 years' progressive experience in branch operations with proven risk management experience.

• Strong knowledge of banking operations, customer service, and regulatory compliance.

• Excellent leadership, organizational, and coordination skills.

• High integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
