Finance Trust Bank, a regulated Tier II financial institution serving over 300,000 depositors and 37,000 borrowers, is hiring a Branch Business Supervisor to drive branch performance, business growth, and portfolio quality under its WASH Project and wider banking operations.
Role Purpose
The Branch Business Supervisor is responsible for driving branch-level business growth, ensuring portfolio quality, and maintaining strong customer relationships while supporting overall profitability and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Growth & Customer Acquisition
Identify and acquire new customers for loans and deposit products.
Drive growth of loan and savings portfolios.
Achieve branch targets in revenue, balance sheet growth, and profitability.
Increase customer base for both savers and borrowers.
2. Portfolio Quality Management
Maintain a high-quality loan portfolio.
Monitor and manage loan performance and repayment behavior.
3. Customer Relationship Management
Conduct field visits and maintain strong customer engagement.
Enhance customer acquisition, retention, and satisfaction.
Document customer interactions and field activity reports.
4. Credit Operations
Review and appraise loan applications and approve disbursements.
Monitor all disbursed loans to ensure performance.
Lead credit committee activities and ensure compliance with lending policies.
Verify loan documentation and collateral security.
Ensure safe custody of collateral.
5. Risk & Compliance
Ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory standards.
Carry out portfolio audits and spot checks on field officers.
Ensure proper handling and storage of collateral.
6. Digital Banking & Partnerships
Onboard customers onto digital platforms (Mobile Banking, Internet Banking, Agent Banking).
Manage partnerships and ensure timely reporting to partner institutions.
7. Team Leadership
Supervise, mentor, and coach branch staff.
Conduct performance reviews and capacity building.
Promote compliance and product knowledge within the team.
8. Customer Experience
Ensure high-quality customer service delivery across the branch.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field.
Postgraduate or professional qualification (MBA, CPA, ACCA, Risk Management) is an added advantage.
At least 5 years’ experience in credit or lending roles.
Experience in SME banking or business banking is an added advantage.
Strong leadership, sales, and marketing skills.
Good communication and presentation skills.
High integrity and professionalism.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
