MicroPay is a Financial Technology (FINTECH) Company providing an innovative electronic payments platform designed to enable multiple forms of secure e-payment methods. MicroPay is Licensed and Regulated by The Bank of Uganda as a Payment Service Provider (PSP) and Payment Service Operator (PSO).
Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer ( preferably a lady) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for software development, a strong problem-solving mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using best practices and design patterns.
- Perform thorough testing and debugging to ensure the reliability and scalability of the software.
- Contribute to code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, tools, and best practices in software development.
- Participate in the deployment and maintenance of software applications in production environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by users or identified through monitoring and logging systems.
- Adhere to coding standards and software development processes to ensure consistency and quality across the codebase.
- Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients to provide updates, gather feedback, and address concerns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- At least one year of experience in software development, with proficiency in Java, C#, Spring boot, .NET MVC and APIs.
- Strong understanding of software development principles, algorithms, and data structures.
- Experience with Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
