Why FITSPA Youth

According to the data on talent sources for Fintechs in Uganda, Uganda contributes 47% of the talent, other East African countries contribute 24%, the rest of Africa contributes 13%, and the rest of the world contributes 16%. Outsourcing talent, however, is expensive and poses a significant challenge for young Fintechs. Therefore, it is imperative to identify and develop local talent to enhance the talent pool within Uganda’s Fintech ecosystem.

FITSPA Youth Programs and Activities

FITSPA has structured deliberate and tailor-made programs for the women’s community to facilitate capacity building, knowledge sharing, and career development.

Work Readiness Training

We train fresh graduates on essential soft and technical skills required to transition and thrive at workplaces smoothly. Our comprehensive training covers interpersonal and professional communication, application, CV writing, personal development, and essential Fintech skills.

FITSPA Internship

After completing the pre-internship training, interns are matched to a Fintech for a 6-week internship program. This hands-on experience gives them practical exposure to the industry and equips them with the much sought-after skills by employers.
