CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
Thought leadership:
Selected to serve as a champion on the East Africa Enablers Programme, funded by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, to create inclusive financial services that are sustainable and interoperable within the region.
Achieving results:
Facilitated development of a blueprint for the design of the Rwandan national scheme and switch for affordable interoperable DFS. Gained commitment from 14 financial services providers to test shared agency banking platform concept.
Governance:
Member of the UNCDF Investment Committee for the Renewable Energy Challenge fund. Contributed to the investment of $2 million in innovative energy solutions.
Financial management:
Manage +$10 million portfolios, delivering on impact and P&L targets.
Fundraising:
Contributed to proposals resulting in grants of between $400 000 and $7.5million.
Stakeholder and government relations:
Regularly engage with policymakers, private sector executives and Rwandan and Ugandan government stakeholders.
Project management and implementation:
Managed and implemented telecommunications projects, programmes (Uganda, Mauritius, Madagascar, Kenya) and DFS portfolios (Rwanda, Uganda).
